Iranian specialists have been trying to enhance the sowing method in the agriculture sector since 1970s, agriculture expert Ismail Shahbazi said in an interview with Mizan news agency.
"But to date, no suitable sowing method has been found," he added.
Shahbazi noted that the sowing method is defined through testing of soil in a certain land plot.
"In addition to the test findings, it is also necessary to know consumption and demand for certain agricultural product in the country. For instance, the quantity of potatoes needed by Iran in the studied year shall be in the spotlight. By complying with the sowing method, it is necessary to abstain from both seeding much in order to prevent rotting of harvest and seeding less in order to prevent shortage and high prices," he added.
