Iran's raw material output from mines forecasted to increase

According to Iran's estimates of the mining industry, the country is expected to produce 107 million tons of iron ore, the Deputy Chairman for projects of Iran's Mines and Mining Industries Development Organization Sad Mohammadi said, SHATA reported.

Presently, Iran's iron ore production is 80 million tons a year, Mohammadi said.

Mohammadi also said that the production prospects for other metals have been considered as well. These metals include ore concentrate, cast iron, copper, aluminum, zinc, etc.

In case if the funds spent decrease and the production increases, there will be a boom in mining in Iran.
