Iranian oil minister says Russia didn't purchase Iran's oil

Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zangeneh has refuted the information about Russia's sale of Iranian oil, Tasnim news agency reported.

Russia has not entered Iranian oil bourse, Zangeneh said

He added that according to some agencies, including Reuters, Iran denies the information about Russia's purchase of Iranian oil.

The minister added that 1 million barrels of oil were put up for sale in the energy market.

Moreover, 280,000 barrels were sold, and the rest will be put on sale, Zangeneh said.

No final decision on oil was made at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, he said.

He added that petrochemical companies transfer currency obtained as a result of export to the Forex Management Integrated System (NIMA).

According to the agreement, the companies transfer revenues obtained as a result of the export of goods to the government on a weekly basis, Zangeneh said.
