Goods worth $394M exported from Iran’s Sistan & Baluchestan Province

During the seven months of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2018), the value of exports from Iran’s Sistan and Baluchestan Province exceeded $394 million, which is an 84-percent increase compared to the same period last year, said Nader Mirshekar, head of Sistan and Baluchestan Province Industry, Mine and Trade Organization, Shata news agency reported.

He said that 908,074 tons of goods worth $394.467 million were exported from the province this year.

He noted that during the seven months of the current Iranian year, goods worth $108.44 million were exported from customs offices of the province, while goods worth $286 million were exported from the border markets.

“In accordance with the program envisaged in the foreign trade sphere this year, the value of non-oil exports of the Iranian province stood at $664 million,” he added. “Considering the steps taken, the products worth about 59 percent of the defined amount were exported during seven months of the year.”

He noted that during the reporting period, construction materials, fruits, tomatoes, peas and melons were exported to Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkey, Kuwait, the UAE and other countries.
