Goods worth $69M exported from Iran's Bilehsovar customs

Goods worth $69 million were exported from the Bilehsovar customs in Iran’s Ardabil province this Iranian year (started March 21, 2018), Governor of Bilehsovar county Hassan Gobadi told reporters, Trend reports via IRNA.

He said that 140,000 tons of non-oil products were exported through the customs.

He added that the export of products was more than 100 percent in terms of weight compared to the same period last year and amounted to 186 percent in terms of value.

“During this period, 24,000 tons of goods worth $54 million were exported from Bilehsovar,” he said.

He noted that exports grew by over 90 percent in terms of weight and value compared to the same period last year.

He said that 1.45 million people crossed the Bilehsovar customs border checkpoint and this is a 66 percent increase over the previous year.

He emphasized the importance of taking necessary steps to create the necessary infrastructure in the county in the sphere of exports, imports, marketing and processing industry and increase the interest of investors in the region.
