Iran discloses amount of investments approved for projects in Razavi Khorasan province

Since the beginning of this Iranian year (started on March 21, 2019), foreign investments in the amount $114 million has been approved for the implementation of seven projects in Iran’s north-eastern Razavi Khorasan province, Director General for Economic and Financial Affairs of Razavi Khorasan province Ali Ramazani said.

Four projects were approved at the meeting of the Iranian foreign investment committee, Ramazani added, Trend reports referring to IRNA.

According to him, the projects cover such spheres as transport, production of pharmaceutical additives, paper production from calcium carbonate and commissioning of recreation zones.

The projects will be implemented in Tus and Attar Nishabur industrial parks in Mashhad city, for which $100 million are allocated by investors from the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan.

From March 21, 2018 - March 20, 2019, foreign investments worth $181 million has been approved for the implementation of 37 projects in Razavi Khorasan province. Most of investments were made in industry, services sector, agriculture, water, electricity and gas sector of the province.

The funds were mainly provided by investors from Germany, Turkey, Russia, Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Austria, Holland, China, South Korea, Kuwait, France and Bahrain.
