Iran's fruit exports will decrease in the current year, the head of Iran's Agricultural Products Exporters Union Reza Noorani said, Trend reports via ILNA.

Meanwhile, there will be an increase in the greens and vegetable exports of the country, Noorani said.

He added that Iran lacks special vehicles equipped with refrigerators to transport agricultural goods and this issue hinders the growth of the country's export market.

Creating the balance in local and foreign markets requires the development of the infrastructure for exports of goods, he noted.

There has been cases, when farmers cultivated certain types of crops in large amounts after seeing their price increase, Noorani said. However, after the influx of the same type crops in large amounts to markets, prices decrease and farmers face difficulties selling their harvest, he added.

This problem can be solved by educating farmers, Noorani noted.

Iran is expecting to produce over 45 million tons of agricultural goods in the current Iranian year.
