Iran's exports via its Yazd province reach almost $100M in 2 months

In the first two months of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2019), Iran exported 497,000 tons of goods with the value of $96 million via borders of its Yazd province, the chairman of Yazd Industry, Mine and Trade Organization Reza Alamdari said, Trend reports via the website of the organization.

Compared to the same period of the previous Iranian year, the exports increased by 8.12 percent in terms of weight and by 14 percent in terms of value in USD, Alamdari said.

He added that main export goods were steel, tiles and ceramics, hydrocarbon, various cellulose, pipes, glass containers, pistachio, molybdenum oxide.

Main export destinations for the goods exported via Yazd, during the reported period, were Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Turkey, Syria, the UAE and Georgia, he said.

During the reported period, 9,000 tons of goods were imported for $25 million via the borders of Yazd province, Alamdari said.

He further added that the main imports were various equipment and spare parts for equipment used in manufacturing facilities.
