A contract for the construction of a sulfur production unit has been signed at the Tabriz Oil Refinery in Iran’s East Azerbaijan province, said Gholamreza Bagheri Dizaj, the CEO of Tabriz Oil Refining Company, Trend reports via Shana news agency.
He said that the contract was signed between his company and the Iranian Oil Design and Construction Company.
He noted that according to the agreement, the research, construction, equipment maintenance and commissioning will be carried out by the Oil Design and Construction Company.
“The duration of the project is 21 months and more than 17 million euros will be allocated,” he said.
He added that with the launch of this project, 110 tons of sulfur will be daily produced.
