Iran manufactures 95 percent of its reactors, heat convectors and oil equipment, Reza Khayyamian, member of the board of directors in the Iranian Petroleum Industries Equipment Manufacturers Association, said.
“Some 70 percent of compressors and turbines are produced domestically,” Khayyamian added, Trend reports referring to IRIB.
The member of the board of directors added that Iran has a slight need in equipment manufactured in foreign countries.
“There are no problems with the production in the downstream industry while there are some problems in the upstream industry,” Khayyamian added.
“The Iranian Oil Ministry has included 10 types of required equipment in the production list,” the member of the board of directors added. “Ten more types of equipment will be added to this list soon. The equipment required in the upstream industry will be produced in the country.”
