By Elnur Baghishov - Trend:

Iran’s Kish Air has bought three planes from an Asian country, said Farzaneh Sharafbafi, CEO of the Kish Air, Trend reports referring to Tasnim news agency.

Sharafbafi noted that these planes were manufactured by Brazil’s Embraer S.A. company.

The CEO added that the Airbus 321 plane was repaired and commissioned by Kish Air in the 5th month (July 23-Aug. 22) of this Iranian year (began March 21, 2019).

Two more planes are being repaired and will be commissioned soon, Sharafbafi said.

“The company has 12 planes,” the CEO noted.

The company’s planes can transport more than 3,500 passengers.

As a result of US sanctions imposed by the US in November 2018, major airplane manufacturers were prevented to sell plane or plane parts to Iran.
