Iran’s exports grow

During nine months (March 21-Dec. 21) of this Iranian year (began March 21, 2019), Iran’s exports have increased over the same period last year, Iran’s Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Reza Rahmani said, Trend reports referring to the ministry’s website.

Rahmani noted that 103 million tons of products were exported during this period, adding that this figure shows an increase of 18.5 percent compared to the same period last year.

The Iranian minister didn’t disclose the value of exported products.

Rahmani said that manufacture of strategic products plays a major role in reducing Iran’s dependence.

In eight months (March 21-Nov. 21), Iran exported 88.3 million tons of goods worth $27.4 billion, according to the Iranian Customs Administration.

This figure increased by 16 percent in terms of weight compared to the same period last year (75.8 million tons).

Iran imported 22.1 million tons of goods worth $28.3 billion for the reporting period. Imports of goods increased by 1.5 percent in terms of weight compared to the same period last year and by 4.8 percent in value terms.
