As many as 419 enterprises were provided with licenses in Razavi Khorasan Province (northeastern Iran), during the last two months of the current Iranian year (March 20-May 20, 2020), said Mohammad Reza Mesforush, the Chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization in Razavi Khorasan Province, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.
According to Mesforush, a total of about 18.9 trillion rials (about $450 million) will be invested in these enterprises and 8,700 people will be employed.
Mesforush added that the number of licenses issued for the establishment of the number of enterprises showed a 46 percent increase in terms of investment compared to the same period of the last Iranian year.
The official said that the chemical sector accounts for the biggest part of investments in the province - 3.53 trillion rials (about $84.1 million) will be invested in this sphere.
"For two months, Razavi Khorasan had a 9 percent share for the entire Iran in terms of the number of enterprises, 4 percent in terms of investment and 9 percent in terms of employment," he said.
Mesforush said that at present, 4,300 industrial enterprises operate in the province. These enterprises have employ 127,000 people.
