Trend:

Iranian Central Bank's regulations on trade inflicted damages on exporters, said the chairman of Iran-UAE Joint Chamber of Commerce, Farshid Farzanegan, Trend reports via Mehr News Agency.

Farzanegan said in the past two years, certain restrictive orders have inflicted certain damages on exporters.

"High customs valuation of certain commodities for returning export foreign currency revenues is one of the obstacles in trade development," he said.

"It is important that incentives are provided to exporters during (foreign) exhibitions. Poor implementation of barter mechanism is one of the obstacles in trade development," he said.

"Lack of stability in the process of export and various regulations are preventing foreign trade development. Recently it was announced that part of export of agricultural products should stop. This is not good for the market," Farzanegan said.

"These actions especially before Nowruz holiday are damaging to the exporters. The impose of restrictive regulations during the current Iranian year (started March 20,2020) has damaged exporters, otherwise we could have better transaction with the Emirates," he said.

Farzanegan pointed out that Iran has exported $4.1 billion worth of goods to the UAE during the past 11 months of the current Iranian year (started March 20,2020), while importing $8.4 billion worth of goods from there.
