The Deputy Head of Central Organization for Rural Cooperatives (CORC) of Iran announced that over 72 tons of supportive purchased saffron, stored in warehouses of Khorasan Razavi, South and North Khorasan provinces, belonged to the CORC, have been completely sold.
"In 2019, due to the decline in the price of saffron produced by farmers in the market, the Central Organization for Rural Cooperatives (CORC) of Iran, bought a huge amount of saffron to support farmers,” the Deputy head of Central Organization for Rural Cooperatives (CORC) of Iran Morteza Motamed said, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.
The statistics of the Rural Cooperative Organization show that since 2019, this organization has stored 72 tons and 117 kilograms of saffron from farmers and purchased it in its warehouses.
