Trend:

Iran expects South Korean PM Chung Sye-kyun to provide immediate solution for releasing Iran's funds blocked in South Korea, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Ghalibaf said, Trend reports via IRNA.

"We are pleased with the fact that the South Korean PM has decided to visit Tehran, but South Korea currently doesn't have a big space in Iran's foreign trade, while political relations between the two countries have deteriorated," he said.

Ghalibaf went on to say that the expectations of the Iranian people from South Korea haven't been met.

"Even businessmen who did good business with South Korea, are displeased with what's currently going on," he said.

"I believe no obstacles could affect good cooperation between the countries in humanitarian and health issues, hopefully cooperation would reach a better state," he said.

"Parliamentary cooperation could lead to development of ties between the two countries," Ghalibaf believes.

South Korean PM arrived in Iran on Sunday to help try to discuss the release of $7 billion Iranian funds blocked in South Korean banks.
