Iran to activate IR6 centrifuges in Natanz and increase enrichment to 60 percent in response to sabotage in Natanz nuclear facility, said Iranian President.
"Iran would still act legally according to the framework under supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)," said Hassan Rouhani, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"The security official would provide the finalized reports about the Natanz incident, the first response was to replace IR1 machines with IR6 machines and increase 3.67 percent enrichment to 60 percent. All of our activities and enrichment are certainly peaceful and under the supervision of the IAEA," he noted.
A spokesman for Iran’s civilian nuclear program said an accident struck the electrical distribution grid of the Natanz nuclear facility. Behrouz Kamalvandi announced the accident on Sunday, saying there were no injuries and no pollution.
