Currently, there are good economic opportunities in Syria, which Iran's private companies, in addition to state organizations, should be using, said head of Iranian parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"There are opportunities related to tourism in Syria, as well as in mining, agriculture," he said.
"We hope to see these opportunities used for the profit of both countries," Ghalibaf noted.
"A multilateral agreement was signed between Iran and Syria, there have been important meetings with the Syrian president, the PM, the parliament speaker and foreign minister," Ghalibaf said.
He added that during his recent trip to Syria, Iranian and local businessmen met for talks.
Ghalibaf pointed out that there's 'good coordination' between the parliaments of both countries, which should help boost the cooperation.
