TEHRAN, Iran, Oct.13

Trend:

Iran's 2020 budget settlement report 2020 indicates hidden subsidies, delay in operating steel sector projects and delay in oil sales, Trend reports via Fars News Agency.

President of Iran's Supreme Audit Court Mehrdad Bazrpash presented the 726-page budget settlement report at the parliament.

The report shows that a total of 23 million people in three high-income decile have received monthly subsides of 125 trillion rials (about $2.9 billion) and the Ministry of Labour, Cooperatives and Social Welfare did not eliminate them from the list of those receiving monthly subsidies.

Meanwhile, the Targeted Subsidies Organization of Iran failed to track the low-income citizens, who missed on registering for the subsidies in the last Iranian year (started March 20,2020).

As for steel projects, seven of them that were launched in 2006, only reached a 72-percent progress, due to various issues, including environmental problems and water shortage.

The report has also shown decrease in Iran's oil sales, while some 20 percent of the oil revenues were supposed to be sent to Iran's National Development Fund, but didn't.
