TEHRAN, Iran, August 27. The Iranian government started the operation of five major oil projects in Khuzestan Province, Trend reports citing IRNA.
Iranian Petroleum Minister Javad Owji has inaugurated the projects that included phase 2 in Yaran joint oil field development, Balal joint oilfield development, preservation and development of Nargesi oil field, and PDH project in the Persian Gulf Bid-Boland Refinery.
Iran's oil projects aim to increase production in joint oilfields. The operation of phase 2 in the Yaran joint oilfield will increase production by 71 percent to 36,000 barrels per day.
The development of the gas section in the Balal joint oilfield is to increase the country's gas production and transfer 500 million cubic feet of gas and gas condensate per day to South Pars refineries.
The operation of the PDH project will annually produce 450,000
tons of propylene from propane as the Persian Gulf Bid-Boland
Refinery plans to complete the PP production chain.
The construction of 500 housing units in Masjed Soleiman in
Khuzestan Province is another project that started on Friday.
