Non-oil exports of Iran's Mazandaran Province increase

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 3. The export of non-oil products from Iran's Mazandaran Province, located in a northern country, increased by 14 percent in value and 52 percent in weight in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023, through March 19, 2024), compared to the previous year (from March 21, 2022, through March 20, 2023), the customs inspector of Iran's Mazandaran Province Amir Jamshidi said, Trend reports.

According to Jamshidi, Iran exported 1.5 million tons of products worth $318 million from Mazandaran Province last year.

Jamshidi added that 298 types of products were exported from the province, including milk and dairy products worth $116 million, cement worth $33 million, rubber materials worth $35 million, citrus fruits worth $28 million, and various types of food products worth $19 million.

The official stated that last year, Iranian Mazandaran Province exported products to 50 countries: $143 million to Iraq, $70 million to Russia, $17 million to Turkmenistan, $13 million to Kazakhstan, and $12 million to Pakistan.

To note, according to the statistics of Iran's Customs Administration, last year's exports of non-oil products amounted to more than 136 million tons worth $49.3 billion. Exports of Iranian non-oil products decreased by 8.87 percent in value terms compared to the previous year and increased by 9.82 percent in weight terms.
