Iran's Persian Gulf petrochemical holding company aims to increase production

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 8. Iranian Gulf Petrochemical Holding Company's petrochemical production is scheduled to increase by 14 percent, or 2 million tons per year, in the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2024 through March 20, 2025) compared to the previous year (from March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024), executive director of Iran's Persian Gulf Petrochemical Holding Company Abdolali Ali Asghari said, Trend reports.

According to him, the company's production volume will exceed 26 million tons this year.

Ali Askari stated that Iran's petrochemical production rose by 6 percent, or 1.6 million tons, last year and exceeded 24 million tons.

The official noted that plants and production units of the holding's member companies will be put into operation due to the increase in output.

To note, Iran's Persian Gulf Petrochemical Holding is considered to be one of the country's main petrochemical companies. The holding plans to increase annual production to 57.4 million tons by March 19, 2028, and product sales to $30.1 billion.
