Exports of non-oil products through Iran's Jolfa Customs increase

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 16. Iran's exports of non-oil products through Jolfa Customs of East Azerbaijan Province, located in the northwestern part of the country, increased by 24 percent in value terms and 42 percent in weight terms in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024) compared to the previous year (from March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), director general of Iran's Jolfa Customs administration, Mohammad Khalili, said in Trend reports.

According to him, 324,000 tons of non-oil products worth $189 million were exported from Iran's Jolfa customs office last year.

Khalili stated that last year, mainly cookies, dried fruits, petroleum products, paints, and many others were exported through Jolfa Customs. These products were mainly exported to Türkiye and Azerbaijan.

To note, according to the statistics of the Iranian Customs Administration, the country's exports of non-oil products in the last Iranian year amounted to more than 136 million tons worth $49.3 billion. Compared to the previous year, Iran's non-oil exports decreased by 8.87 percent in value terms and increased by 9.82 percent in weight terms.
