Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Turkmenistan revealed

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 16. Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Turkmenistan amounted to 1.39 million tons worth about $484 million in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024), the statistics of Iran's Customs Administration said, Trend reports.

According to the statistics, last Iranian year, non-oil trade turnover between Iran and Turkmenistan decreased by 0.8 percent in value terms and increased by 5.6 percent in weight terms compared to the previous year (from March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023).

Meanwhile, non-oil trade between the two countries was about 1.32 million tons worth about $488 million in the previous Iranian year.

The information indicates that agricultural and food products, industrial goods, transformers, water conditioners, petrochemicals, petroleum coke, cotton, cloth, and others were mainly exchanged in the trade turnover of the two countries.

The statistics show that in the 12th month of the last Iranian year (from February 20 through March 19, 2024), Iran's trade turnover with Turkmenistan was 114,000 tons worth $40.3 million.

To note, according to the statistics of the Iranian Customs Administration, country's trade turnover (imports and exports) last year amounted to more than $153 billion. Compared to the previous year, trade turnover increased by 2.6 percent.
