Petrochemical production of Iran's Shastan commercial investment company goes up

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 23. Iranian SHASTAN Commercial Investment Co.'s petrochemical production increased 7.7 percent in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024) compared to the previous year (from March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), executive director of Iran's Shastan Commercial Investment Co. Davoud Abbasi said, Trend reports.

According to him, Iran's Shastan Commercial and Investment Company produced 5.19 million tons of petrochemical products last year. However, the company produced 4.82 million tons of petrochemical products the previous year.

Abbasi stated that the company exported a total of 3.4 million tons of petrochemical, steel, and construction products last year. Out of these, petrochemical products amounted to 3.2 million tons.

The official noted that the company operates in the oil, gas, petrochemical, electric power, mining, steel, and trading sectors.

To note, Iran's Shastan Commercial Investment Company was established in 2008.

Iran produced about 75 million tons of petrochemical products last year. Iran's petrochemical production potential will exceed 100 million tons in the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2024 through March 20, 2025).
