Iran declares export volume of non-oil products from its East Azerbaijan Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 24. A total of 2.93 million tons of non-oil products worth $1.54 billion were exported from East Azerbaijan Province, located in northwestern Iran, in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024), customs inspector of Iran's East Azerbaijan Province, Sadegh Namdar said, Trend reports.

According to him, steel, polymers, bitumen, wire, and raisins were mainly exported from East Azerbaijan Province last year.

Namdar added that products from the province were exported to 103 countries. The products were mainly exported to Türkiye - 30.8 percent, Iraq - 20.2 percent, Armenia - 17.6 percent, Azerbaijan - 3.6 percent and Georgia - 3.5 percent.

To note, according to the statistics of Iran's Customs Administration, the country's exports of non-oil products in the last Iranian year amounted to more than 136 million tons worth $49.3 billion. Compared to the previous year, Iran's non-oil exports decreased by 8.87 percent in value terms and increased by 9.82 percent in weight terms.
