BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 3. The Renewable Energies and Electricity Consumption Organization of Iran has made the decision to construct 10 solar power plants (SPPs) in seven industrial complexes located in southern Fars Province, Trend reports via Fars Province Electricity Distribution Company.
The company has stated that the construction of the SPPs will cost 1.8 trillion rials, which is around $4.86 million.
In total, the electricity production potential of these plants will be nine megawatts.
An array of incentives, including a guaranteed purchase of generated electricity, are offered to investors by Iran's Renewable Energies and Electricity Consumption Organization, according to the company.
Two SPPs with a power generation potential of 1.1 megawatts have been built in Fars Province so far.
To note, there are a total of 93,024 MWh of electrical generation capacity in Iran, with 1,141 MWh coming from renewable sources.
