Iran and the "5+1 group" (the United States, Russia, China, Britain, France, and Germany) entered talks to determine the date of the next round of negotiations in Istanbul, Fars news agency reported with reference to Nuclear Iran website.
"The issue of the date of the negotiations is likely to remain open until Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu's upcoming visit to Washington and his meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton," the message said.
Iran and the "5+1" group had earlier held talks in Geneva from December 6 to 7. EU High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy Catherine Ashton also attended the talks.
The two sides agreed that the next round of talks will be held in late January in Istanbul.
