Entire required fuel for Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant is provided and final tests for reactor's put to use are being conducted, IRI Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi said in an exclusive interview with IRNA.
"The door of that nuclear reactor has been shut and everything is set for the production of nuclear electricity in very near future," Salehi told.
The former head of the country's Nuclear Energy Organization reiterated, "During the past six months many parts of that reactor have been put to use and many of its activities have already started, while the remaining units, too, are ready to be put to use."
The Islamic Republic of Iran's new Minister of Foreign Affairs said that the progress of activities in this reactor is quite satisfactory, interactions with the Russian side are continuous and the work is pursuing based on mutual cooperation and interaction.
He meanwhile considered Bushehr Province as one of Iran's scientific and economic poles, adding, "With the investments and efforts made for the growth and development of this province we can hope for and extraordinary economic growth here within the next ten years."
Salehi commented while accompanying President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in his 3rd provincial tour of Bushehr. The president's 3rd provincial visit of Bushehr Province, in which as usual his entire cabinet accompanies him began on Wednesday.
