Iran’s statements on nuclear program must be tested - Kerry

Iran's statements over its nuclear program must be tested, the US Secretary of State John Kerry said at a press conference in Geneva, RIA Novosti reported March 2.

He said the entire world should be assured that the numerous statements of Iran about the peaceful program will pass the test.

Six international mediators, Russia, the US, China, the UK, France, Germany, known as the P5+1, and Iran continue diplomatic efforts towards a comprehensive agreement on Iran's nuclear program.

The P5+1 and Iran agreed in Geneva in November 2013 to prepare a deal, guaranteeing exclusively peaceful nature of Tehran's nuclear program in exchange for fully lifting the sanctions.

A year later, such agreement was not worked out. There is only an "interim plan of actions".

The parties extended the negotiations until the end of June 2015.
