In a speech at the UN General Assembly Session in New York, German Foreign Minister highlighted the need to maintain trade with Tehran and said Europe unanimously stands by Iran in nuclear deal dubbed JCPOA, IRNA reports.
Heiko Mass claimed the deal with Iran may not be impeccable, but has so far prevented the country from achieving nuclear weapons and ramping up the regional tensions.
International observers and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), as the sole fact-finding source, have consistently emphasized the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear activities.
Mass went on to say Berlin is taking steps to maintain trade with Tehran.
He urged Iran to continue to fully implement all its obligations with regard to the nuclear deal.
