The newly inaugurated power plants in Bushehr Province would help boost its development, said the province's governor Abdolkarim Geravand, Trend reports citing IRNA.

"The inauguration of the power plants, including the Asalouyeh combined cycle power plant, as well as new power substation and fixing the power lines - was really needed in the province," he said.

He went on to add that households in the province consume the most power, so if people manage to reduce consumption level, the major part of the power supply issues would be solved.

"The new power distribution plans would help double the production of shrimp farm in the province," he added.

"It is expected that investments for improving power substation at the Rudshur Power plant for the next Iranian year (started March 21,2021) would help to an increase of some 20,000 tons of shrimp production," he said.

"More than 70 percent of the first steam unit in Asalouyeh plant was constructed by domestic producers," he said.

"This power plant includes six gas units and three steam units that would increase the productivity of power plant by 44.9 percent," he added.
