Iranian ex-president Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani has registered in Iran's presidential election race, ISNA reported.
Earlier he said he will participate in the upcoming presidential elections if Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei consents, Mehr news agency reported.
Also Secretary General of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran Saeed Jalili and Vice-President Mohammad Reza Rahimi and former head of the presidential administration Rahim Meshai have registered in Iran's presidential election race.
The official registration of candidates for the presidential elections started on May 7. The registration deadline is May 11.
The 11th presidential elections in Iran are scheduled to be held on June 14 this year.
The President in Iran is elected for a four-year term.
