Tehran, Iran, Nov. 10

Iran's Parliament (Majlis) Speaker Ali Larijani said that country is the region's biggest missile power.
"Iran's powerful missiles and strategic equipment ensure the countries' position as a key player in maintaining the region's security," Larijani said, Iran's Fars News Agency reported on Nov. 10.
"We don't want to use our missile power for adventures," he said, adding that Iran seeks to ensure the region's security.
"Iran has never started any war. We just defend our country," he said, noting that Iran never sought revenge after the imposed 8-year war with Iraq.
According to Iran's Press TV, some Western officials, particularly in the U.S., have called for Iran's missile program to be included in the country's nuclear talks with the P5+1.
The Iranian President Hassan Rouhani previously ruled out any negotiations whatsoever over the country's defensive missile capabilities.
"Iran's missile capability is by no means and at no level negotiable," Rouhani said in a meeting with International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Chief Yukia Amano in August, Press TV reported.
