Iran welcomes expansion of ties with Belarus
President Hassan Rouhani said on Thursday Iran welcomes expansion of diplomatic and trade relations with Belarus, IRNA reported.
In a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko on the sidelines of the joint SCO-BRICS summit meeting in Ufa, Russia, the two sides reviewed bilateral cooperation and regional developments.
President Rouhani referred to the friendly relations between Tehran and Minsk and expressed the hope that with increasing of bilateral exchanges, the two countries can expand their ties in various fields.
Lukashenko termed Iran-Balarus ties as historical and close and said the Islamic Republic of Iran is a friendly state.
