Iran considers logic as power, not weapon

Baku, Azerbaijan, Aug. 15

By Fatih Karimov - Trend:

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani says that Iran considers the logic, a dialogue and negotiations as the real power, rather than weapons and strong muscle.

"Neither nuclear bomb could bring the security for Israel nor the modern arms brought stability for neighbors (some Arab nations) thinking that they can strike by planes and bombs to Yemen", IRNA reported Aug.15.

President Rouhani added that the knowledge, science, uniting, morality and solidarity bring the security.

"Our politic, scientific and spiritual power is not against any nation," the president said. "We want to bring peace to the region by our power. We proved that we can talk with the powers and persuade them by our logical and political power to accept and confess Iranians' right to have a peaceful nuclear program."

He also said that "the resistance of Afghani people against SSRI, Islamic movement throughout the Middle East, the sound of Azan in Central Asia, resistance of Lebanese and Palestinians against Israel, revival of Islam in Turkey and other events were the waves, originated from the Iran Islamic Revolution (happened in 1979).

The president also said that the enemies want to introduce the Islamic religion as a violent factor, but all religions have been aimed at raising the human dignity.

The Islamic Republic and the group 5+1 (the US, UK, France, Russia, China, and Germany) reached a long-awaited comprehensive deal called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on July 14.
