Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said Iran has blocked the ways of the US's influence on the Islamic Republic.

"The US was dreaming of finding ways to influence Iran with the nuclear agreement, the fate of which is even unclear - whether it is going to be ratified here [Iran] or there [the US Congress]," Khamenei said in a speech live broadcast on IRINN state TV channel August 17.

"We will certainly block the ways of influence, we will not allow the US influence on Iran either in political-economical or cultural spheres," Iranian leader added.

Khamenei made the remarks in a meeting with participants in the 8th summit of the General Assembly of the Islamic Radio and Television Union (IRTVU) and the 6th General Assembly of the AhlulBayt World Assembly in the capital, Tehran.

Khamenei said that we feel sorrow for the Yemeni people and pray for them, and we do our best to help them. "They (Saudi-leading coalition) are destroying a country and pursuing their political goals foolishly".

The Iranian leader said that "Americans are seeking to strengthen their position and influence in regional countries, but we will not allow them. They are persuing separation of Iraq and Syria, but they will fail".

Iran and the group called P5+1 (the US, UK, France, Russia, China, and Germany) reached a final deal - also called the Joint Plan of Action or JCPOA - on Iran's nuclear program on July 14.

It's expected that the agreement will be implemented by the end of current year after being ratified in Congress and Iran's parliament as well as when the international Atomic Energy Agency confirms that Iran is cooperating with this UN body based on mutual agreement between Iran and IAEA, achieved simultaneously with JCPOA.

Iran calls Palatines Hamas, Lebanese Hizbullah and other groups who are strongly against Israel the "resistance movement".

He also said that the current battles in Iraq, Syria, Yemen and other countries are entirely a political war, not religious. "The enemies want to bring division among Muslims and we are strongly against division in Islam world, even if it is carried out by Shia groups."
