By Fatih Karimov - Trend:

Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Yukiya Amano has set a condition for attending a special committee session to study the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on Iran's nuclear program.

He has said that the meeting should be held without the presence of any TV cameras, ISNA reported Sep.20.

However, Iranian MP Abbas-Ali Mansouri-Arani, said it has been agreed that TV cameras to record the meeting for a short period of time before the meeting starts.

Prior to that, the committee meetings were aired from the Iranian state TV (IRIB), but later on IRIB was allowed just to record some parts of the meetings. This issue was criticized by both principlists and supporters of President Hassan Rouhani.

Amano arrived in Iran on September 20. He is due to hold talks with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, and Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali Akbar Salehi, Iran's Fars news agency reported on September 20.

Earlier, Iran's Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said that JCPOA is being carefully studied by the lawmakers, noting that results of the scrutiny process will be announced in late September.

Iran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany) finalized the text of the JCPOA in Vienna on July 14.
