Iran and Poland are negotiating to boost their economic ties.

Visiting Speaker of Polish Senate Bogdan Borusewicz met with Iranian parliament speaker Ali Larijani in Tehran, IRNA news agency reported on October 10.

Borusewicz, heading a high-ranking delegation, arrived in Tehran on October 9.

The two sides are also scheduled to discuss parliamentary and international issues, as well as regional developments.

A delegation of Iranian lawmakers had traveled to Poland in May.

Iranian Ambassador to Poland Ramin Mehmanparast said that the volume of trade between Iran and Poland is currently around €100 million annually, but the two countries plan to boost the figure to €1 billion in the short term.
