Tehran, Iran, November 7
By Mehdi Sepahvand – Trend:
Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will visit Lebabon Nov.7, after which, he will leave Beirut for East European countries, said Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qasemi during a press conference on Nov.7.
Zarif’s visit comes, while Lebanon’s parliament elected Michel Aoun as president Oct. 31, ending a political stand-off that has left the post empty for more than two years.
Aoun is supported by Hezbollah militant group, Iran’s close ally in Lebanon.
Qasemi added that Zarif would start visiting Romania, Czech Republic and Slovakia on Nov.8.
