Tehran, Iran, July 12
By Mehdi Sepahvand - Trend:
The Iranian police has announced it is ready to maintain security over celebrations that the Iranian public is likely to hold if Iran's nuclear talks lead to a deal.
Asked about the police approach to such celebrations, spokesman Said Montazerolmahdi said the police is ready to stand side-by-side the pubic if such an outcome is reached.
But, he added, the celebrations have to comply with Islamic norms and the law, ISNA news agency reported July 12.
Iran and the group P5+1 (the US, UK, France, Russia, China, and Germany) have given themselves an extension until July 13 to make a deal on Iran's nuclear program.
Iranians believe a deal would be a victory since it would mean the removal of economic sanctions against the country.
