An earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale jolted the city of Dehdoz in surrounding areas of Izeh in southwestern province of Khuzestan on Tuesday, IRNA reported.
According to the Seismography Center of Tehran University's Geophysics Institute, the tremor occurred at 19:12 hours local time (15:42 hours GMT).
The depth of the quake was registered 10 kilometers underground.
Another earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale also shook the city of Behbahan in Khuzestan province earlier in the day.
There are no immediate reports on possible damages or casualties of these two earthquakes.
