Uzbek Tax Committee announces tender for purchase of computer equipment

The State Tax Committee of Uzbekistan (STC) has announced a tender for the purchase of computer equipment worth $2.75 million, the committee told Trend.

In total, the tender considers the purchase of 2,300 computers and 1,500 printers.

Under the tender terms, the starting price of a computer is defined in the sum of 1.8 million soum per unit, a printer - one million soum.

When submitting the bid, the tenderer will also have to pay a deposit of 41 million soum - for computers and 15 million soum - for printers.
For foreign entities, the starting price of the deposit shall be determined in U.S. dollars at the exchange rate of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan on the day of submission of the proposal.

Bids will be accepted until May 10, inclusive, and the tender results summed up by the end of June.
Currently, the tax authorities have developed and implement about 30 types of software products for the electronic exchange of information, improving the efficiency of their work. Taxpayers are provided with more than 15 types of online services.

Taxpayers may get a statement of the schedule of inspections of businesses, information about the calculation of the budget and extra-budgetary funds, acts and regulations on taxation and learn their identification number through the STC's website.

The STC plans to increase the number of online services to 22 by the end of this year.
