WB attracts consultant for law reform in solid waste management in Azerbaijan
A tender for the provision of advisory services in the reform of the legal framework was announced in Azerbaijan within the framework of the project of a single solid waste management, co-funded by the World Bank (WB), stated the ministry of economy and industry of the country, published in the official press.
The task of the consultant is to assist the Government of Azerbaijan in the assessment, design and preparation of proposals to the existing legal and regulatory framework in the field of solid waste management (MSW) and simplification of the implementation of the national waste management strategy.
The tender is open to companies with experience in the development and regulation of the legal aspects of solid waste management, the development of legislation in accordance with the norms of the environment, including experience in the development and regulation of the laws and regulations in the areas of solid waste management and environmental protection in the EU; experience in the review of the legal framework and the preparation of new bills; experience with systems of solid waste management (planning, design and monitoring of specific elements of the program of a single solid waste management).

Tender for hydroelectric power station construction announced in Georgia
The Georgian Energy Ministry has announced a tender to prepare the feasibility study of the project of construction, ownership and operation of a hydroelectric power station on the river Bzholiskhevi in Imereti (Western Georgia).
All companies interested in participation, must submit a bid for participation and all the necessary documents to the Georgian Ministry of Energy until October 24, 2014, the Georgian Ministry of Energy told Trend Sept. 23.
The installed capacity of a new hydropower station will be 4.6 megawatt in accordance with the project. The station will annually generate 19.7 million kilowatt / hours of electricity.
The preliminary investment cost of the project is $7.8 million.

Turkmen Railway Transport Ministry announces tender
The Turkmen Railway Transport Ministry announced an international tender.
