The Georgian-French relations and Georgia's integration into NATO and the European institutions have been discussed between Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze and French president's diplomatic advisor Paul Jean-Ortiz in Paris.

The conversation took place in a spirit of mutual understanding, Vashadze told Georgian journalists after a meeting.

"We thanked the French side for supporting the UN General Assembly's resolution which calls for ensuring dignified return of refugees to Abkhazia and South Ossetia," he said.

Vashadze also said that France focuses on the upcoming exercises of Russian troops on the border with Georgia and expresses concern in this regard.

Georgian Foreign Minister appealed to the French side to send many observers to the parliamentary elections in autumn 2012 to ensure full transparency.
