The European Union expects that the President and Prime Minister of Georgia will do their utmost so that the cohabitation process progressed successfully, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Antanas Linkevičius, who is on a visit to Georgia, said.
"Time is not in our favor. Very active work is required. Signals must be positive. In my opinion, despite such difficult internal political debates, the approach from the point of view of European and Euro-Atlantic integration remains the same and it is a very important signal," Linkevičius said.
He welcomed the personal meeting of Mikheil Saakashvili and Bidzina Ivanishvili, stressing that frequent contacts are a good way to mutual understanding.
