As of Jan. 1, 2018, Armenia’s population amounted to 2.973 million people, which is 13,200 people less than on Jan. 1, 2017 and 25,700 people less than on Jan. 1, 2016, Armenian media reported quoting the country’s statistical service.
In addition, the number of those who refused from Armenian citizenship has also grown in the country. Thus, 15,000 people have refused from Armenian citizenship since 2012.
