Some 250 People Visit Hospitals in Tbilisi

Georgia, Tbilisi / Trend corr N. Kirtskhalia / Some 250 people went to hospitals after a demonstration in Rustaveli Avenue was dispersed, and 50 of them have been already discharged, Georgian Labour, Health and Social Protection Minister David Tkeshelashvili said at a briefing on 7 November.

Health problems were mainly caused by tear-gas, which was applied to disperse the demonstration. "Only several people were injured during clashes with police," he said.

According to the Minister, some of the patients suffered hysteria. Treatment of all victims will be paid by the Government.
