" Georgia's destiny will be decided today and our destiny is in our own hands", said the candidate for presidency in Georgia, Mikhail Saakashvili, during voting in the polling station on 5 January. "We need unity and confidence in our forces. Georgian people will once again show the world public what they want," Saakashvili. He asked all who support unity of Georgia, and all citizens of Georgia, including Abkhazia, to combine. "I call on population to activity so that all can highlight their positions," he said. Saakashvili came to the polling station together with his spouse Sandra Rulovs and two sons.
