Restoration of Georgian First Public Broadcasting TV Functioning is Victory of Opposition – Opposition Leader

Georgia, Tbilisi, 16 January / Trend corr. N.Kirtskhalia / Jondi Bagaturia, the chairman of the Georgian United Opposition and leader of Georgian groups, stated that the Georgian opposition celebrated its victory in front of the Public Broadcasting Centre on 15 January. Bagatiria reported to Trend that the people celebrated the return of the First Public Broadcasting TV company back to the population by the Government. .

"Opposition will purposefully continue to put forward their demands and struggle for returning the 'sold property' to population," Bagaturia said. By 'sold property' he means usurped property by the State court, and sold 'woods, fields and rivers' under the sold property. "We will stage the next rally in front of Court and will demand the resignation of the chairman of the Supreme Court. The Court must be the body which envisages the fair law and order," one of the leaders stated.

The leader did not detailed the time and place of the next rally. The leaders from the Georgian United Opposition will meet and define the further plan of action.

"Opposition won the election, and if the Government does nor recognize it, then we will also not recognize the new governance. We will succeed in the second round of presidential election," Bagaturia said. As for the inauguration ceremony of the new President, scheduled on 20 January, he said that inauguration must not be held before the second round of elections.
